Not adjustable; don't get your hopes "up"
Slightly deceptive picture. We thought the black lasso would be used to tighten and loosen, sliding up and down the red loop. No. It stays stuck in the same loop. Exactly as shown but don't imagine the loop is adjustable with a sliding black piece. Not adjustable. Big bummer.

There are better options
It does the job I guess, but it pinches and once the rope slips out of the clasp, it is very difficult to get back in. Buy a rubber ring instead; such as the "O" ring - it is strong and does the job [holding back any tasteless Challenger references].
