This item cracked for no reason this item and all cylinders from size matters are defective the place where the hole is drilled and tapped causes stress and will crack

Made it work without additional proprietary parts.
After removing the built in valve, I got what I wanted in the first place, so what would have been a zero or one rating went up to a three. The width is about perfect. (If you go too large, other more sensitive parts get pulled in also.) Turns out that one of the suction cups I had for "other reasons" were ideal. I didn't even need to add any sealant, which helped with safety concerns.

Read this before selection
I've had cylinders 2 inches in diameter for years. I would use it for 30 minutes at a time, my balls kept getting sucked in the cylinder along with my penis. I thought the narrow 1.75 cylinder would resolve this issue. It has very good suction. good connection to my pump. First time I used it for 30 minutes was an unexpected result in blistering on the head of my penis. Ouch. PS I tried cleaning the cylinder immediately after using it becomes cloudy with regular hand lotion and doesn't clean up .
