Defective product - wouldn't work at all
New, right out of the box the Doc Johnson Velvet touch vibes would not work. I tried 4 sets of new, AA batteries (not included) and it would never turn on. TOTAL JUNK. Will be returning it.

My wife loved her gift. For a while I wasn't sure I was going to get her to leave it alone. It really is pretty quiet but not silent. You can easily use it with others in the next room and honestly it can be used if you do not have it on high, maybe med to med low speed, with others in the same room.

Functional
This is our third vibrator of this style, as we've really liked them up until now. This is actually the most disappointing of the three, as it doesn't really seem to have a "low" setting. The other two definitely went from low to pretty high. This one just has medium-high and high. :P Not sure if they're changing over time or this one is just a little defective or what. Still nice and smooth and also waterproof (for when the mood strikes) and good overall. Hopefully they fix the power gradient, for when we need to replace again!
