This is a really great item. Perfect size for my needs. It was just what I wanted. I like how it has some give and flexibility to it, but is still stiff enough to enjoy. I didn't have any problems with the base sticking to surfaces. It actually had a really strong hold on metal and plastic surfaces. The shower is definitely my favorite place to use it. It did have a bit of a smell right out of the package, like a rubber band, but after a nice long soak in warm soapy water the smell went mostly away. Because it's rubber, which degrades, it's a good idea to get a special case or cotton bag to store it in.
